A dice and five counters.
If in school, players work as a team. they all start at start. roll the dice. and land on a colour.
they pick up the card associated with the colour and must do the task in order to progress.
The first member of the team will pick up the finishing card and will be told what game to play.
If at home, the player will do the same as above but the will do the task on the finishing card that says "At home" ie go for a cycle, go for a walk, dance etc.

Task Analysis
Ok, so things to do ! ASAP.
Symbols - Lisa, Maggie and Jack will do this in class 29th March. We will finalize on the set of symbols and the set visual style. No one is to use any other symbol when designing. Symbols will be emailed to our accounts.
Logo - Paul is doing the logo and must progress on the blog. The logo has to be fun, energetic and must suit the visual style. Colour palette as below. Typeface suggested for logo is Mickey (dafont.com), but it's down to Paul. A polished version of the existing running logo please.
Secondary Typeface - The secondary typeface is Dingleberry (dafont.com) and must be used on headings or any other important/stand out information on the journal or cards.
Third Typeface - Century Gothic is to be used for the body text of the journal and the on the tasks on the cards.
Boardgame - Jack will design the boardgame. The track on the board will stay solid colour while the illustration will be very similar to the symbols. The finished dieline will be worked out with all measurements finalized. Jack will make the counters. And will sort out how the cards will be stored in the pack.
Cards - Paul is doing the cards. The cards should reflect our visual style, ie colour palettes, symbols must be used on the back, typefaces etc. We have decided to scrap the characters and just say names ie "Tom, Joe etc.." Use the symbol of the girl/boy on the front of the cards instead. Vary boy/girl in colours. No nutritional facts on the cards. Only the tasks ie "John can do so many jumping jacks in 30secs how many can you do?" and the pointers about diet ie "Have you had your five a day, if not go back 3 spaces" and "Revise your daily recipe". The cards 3x2 inches. We also need a card to say how the game works. The finishing card will be split in two "At home" and "In School". In school the sport will be a team game. At home the task will be something they could do on their own or with somebody else not necessarily a team sport.
Costing Maggie is doing the costing which is ongoing.
Journal Layout - Lisa is doing the journal layout. The journal is 120.096x180.877mm
Journal Information - Maggie is collecting all the information for the journals
Parents Manual - Maggie is doing the parent journal layout. The parents journal is 120.096x180.877mm
Incentive - This will be done after Easter as a group. A4 landscape 250gm

tasks for tuesday
Hi Guys :)
First off well done to everybody for yesterday, go team!
We should meet tuesday after typography for a meeting so for then this is what everybody has to do:
Jack: Do up a die-cut of the board exact dimensions on computer, develop the track on the board.
Maggie: Choose what information is to be put on the pages in the sections of the journal, not layout, just what information exactly.
Paul: Decide what actions will be put on the back of the cards exactly, ie the exercise/or have you had one of your 5 a day.
Lisa: Develop symbol pattern, bring to computer.
Everyone can have a look at branding if they would like, remember the concept is energy!
All of this can be discussed on tuesday at the meeting, have a good weekend!
Lisa

Stuff to do
Hey
so,
size of board is square is 31.5cm x 31.5cm
layout for journal and parents guide is 18cmx18cm
playing cards are 8x6cm
Maggie, could you do the costing? basically ring up or email print companies and ask for
a price for 10,000 of the board game (big square 31.5cm x 31.5cm). double sided printed on 350gram plus, (boardgame material). Plus the 490,000 cards double sided on 350gm card 8x6cm. Thanks Maggie
Paul will you design the playing cards? we have six sections on the board plus a finishing card, each section has 7 cards each but for thursday we only need and example of each. The sections are based on energy, each section has a character related to the energy. They are Fossil(ie, dinosaur), Hydro (watercreature), Biomass (plant creature), solar (phoenix woman), geothermal (rockman), wind (bird/windmill guy) and the finishing card. The card is 8x6cm and on one side has a character and on the other side a way they use up their energy they have consumed during the day, ie. rockman from geothermal land can burn up his energy by doing 20 press ups, how many can you do? There is a colour code for each place, fossil purple, hydro blue, biomass green, solar orange, geothermal red, wind grey. The colour coding must stay but how how you depict the characters and the names of the energy places you can do what you wish but please let us know so it can be all tied in. The style is still Nate Williams but like we discussed last week more 'symbol-y'.
Jack is designing the board game, as described above.
Lisa is doing the journal and possible layouts for internal required spreads.
Please get cracking asap :) lots to do before thursday!
If possible could we meet Wednesday please? If the college is closed, which it probably wont be, we can go to Jacks apartment, we will meet at half12 or 1.
Thanks guys
Lisa and Jack

We have decided to make the gameboard into a box,
http://i1.squidoocdn.com/resize/squidoo_images/590/draft_lens17762793module149013273photo_1301328211pattern.jpg
reinforce the energy in and energy out concept on each square!!
keep in mind the theme of Travel and the world map.!
